Frequently Asked Questions

Below we have tried to answer some of the questions which we receive on a regular basis. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us for more information.

WHY SHOULD WE HAVE A VIDEOGRAPHER?

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. You spend most of your spare time leading up to it making sure that it will turn out just the way you’ve always imagined it. If you are going to dedicate so much time and effort to it, why wouldn’t you want to have it professionally captured forever so you can revisit it again and again. Remember – you will only wear that beautiful white dress once. It should be recorded forever so you can enjoy and share this day with loved ones for years to come.

WHY DON’T I JUST GET A FRIEND TO FILM OUR WEDDING DAY FOR US?

To answer this very common question, you need to ask yourself a simple question – Would you be happy with a friend photographing your wedding?

Times are changing and professionally filmed and edited wedding films are now considered just as important as professional photographs. As more and more married couples show their wedding films to friends and family, people are realising what a professional videographer can do nowadays. Getting anything done by a professional as opposed to an amateur is worth its weight in gold. Most amateur wedding films are shot on cheap cameras that feature shaky camerework, poor camera positions, poor sound and simple editing. Some don’t even get edited.

If it matters enough for you to be considering a videographer then get it done by a professional. You will not regret it in the years to come. pic61 pic51

WILL A VIDEOGRAPHER BE OBTRUSIVE?

Videographers are there to film you and your guests discreetly. It is their job to catch those priceless moments naturally so discretion is essential. Brian will never ask you to pose for his camera. That’s the photographer’s job. Videographers are filming behind the scenes. A professional videographer strives to be invisible so that the footage will be authentic and relaxed. pic71 pic121

HOW LONG WILL MY WEDDING FILM BE?

Brian will edit the footage down to between 90 minutes and two hours. Factors that can alter this are the length of the speeches and how many locations that are visited along the way between the church and the hotel. Of course, if you have any preferences then Brian can edit the film to whatever length you like. For example, if you would just like a half hour film plus speeches then this can easily be arranged.

WHEN WILL MY WEDDING FILM BE READY?

Depending on the time of the year, the length of time to complete your film can vary. For example summer and Christmas are particularly busy times as there is often a backlog of editing from previous clients. However, normally your film will be ready approx two months after the wedding day.

DO WE NEED TO PROVIDE A MEAL FOR THE VIDEOGRAPHER?

A meal would be politely requested for the videographer as he will be with you filming for the day from morning until night. Bar food is perfectly fine and is greatly appreciated.

HOW CAN I BOOK YOU?

Simply call or email Brian and inform him you would like to book him. You will then need to send on a booking deposit. The balance of the fee is then required in full either before or on the day of the wedding.
